The Dutch service station market underwent major changes in 2025 and 2026. After oil company BP decided to sell its entire network of fuel and charging stations in the Netherlands, Catom (owner of the OK brand) emerged as the new operator. The acquisition involved approximately 300 BP service stations and 15 charging locations.
The IT project
Alistar had the privilege of supporting Catom with strategic consulting, project management, and the integration of business processes. Last Tuesday, we celebrated the successful completion of this IT project.

Automation of fuel and retail processes
The project touched nearly every part of Catom’s operations: from setting up the environment, project coordination, and alignment with internal teams, to user onboarding and extensive testing of the new processes. In addition, we configured a wide range of specialized modules within FuelVision365 (based on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central). These modules formed the core of Catom’s fuel and retail processes, providing visibility, control, and automation across the organization. This included price communication, trip administration, and card invoicing.
Various other systems were also integrated with Business Central, enabling Catom to operate with full end‑to‑end automation.
The result?
An organization ready for growth, supported by a future‑proof system landscape made possible through the strong partnership between Catom and Alistar.
