What about my data in the cloud? Do I need a backup?
One in four companies is convinced that the data hosted in the Microsoft Cloud does not need to be backed up. Examples include emails in Microsoft 365 or company and customer data in Dynamics 365.
Microsoft guarantees that nothing will go wrong with the hosted solution and that you can expect a certain level of guaranteed ‘uptime.’ However, if something happens to your data (due to your own mistake or hacking or ransomware, for example), Microsoft will neither be able nor willing to restore a backup from the last ‘good’ state.
So always make sure that your data and customer information stored in the cloud are included in a backup.
