This applies to sending emails (SMTP). Support for incoming email ended in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Within applications such as <a href=\"https:\/\/alistar.net\/en\/exact\/exact-synergy\/\">Exact Synergy<\/a> In enterprise environments, SMTP with Basic Authentication is often used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the application, go to Modules &gt; HRM &gt; Configuration &gt; General &gt; Settings &gt; \u2018Server\u2019 section &gt; \u2018Email\u2019 field. If the SMTP option is selected here, the discontinuation of Basic Authentication will affect your situation. In that case, you\u2019ll need to switch to a different sending method, such as Microsoft Outlook or Exchange Online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/alistar.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/ese_instellingen.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-54129\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When you select Exchange Online, the Exchange Online settings are displayed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Enter the Tenant ID in the Tenant ID field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter the application (client) ID in the Client ID field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the \"Client secret\" field, enter the client secret (value).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the \"Sender account\" field, enter the sender's email account.
