Every time there\u2019s a price change from the supplier or manufacturer\u2014and every time your own company changes prices\u2014the shelf labels must be reprinted and distributed to the stores. Modern ERP software such as&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/alistar.net\/en\/erp\/technology\/microsoft-dynamics-365-business-central\/\">Microsoft Dynamics NAV<\/a>&nbsp;It allows you to automatically print new labels when prices change, but distributing them and going through the aisles to replace the labels still has to be done manually if you use paper labels. However, many of our customers\u2014such as beverage retailers, DIY stores, and wholesalers with retail locations\u2014are switching to digital shelf labels. Here are a few of the benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Timely price updates<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/alistar.net\/en\/blog\/benefits-of-electronic-shelf-labels-esls-for-beverage-retailers\/\">electronic shelf labels<\/a>&nbsp;They receive their updated information wirelessly from Microsoft Dynamics NAV, where prices are managed centrally. This helps you avoid disputes over price discrepancies, minimize lost revenue, and improve customer satisfaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Cost Savings<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Designing labels, printing them, and distributing the new labels on the sales floor results in significant savings. What\u2019s more, the labels also help create a forward-thinking image. Your staff can now focus on other tasks that generate more revenue. You can also choose to use a combination of paper labels for products with fixed prices and digital shelf labels for items with dynamic pricing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Self-regulating and environmentally conscious<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When an electronic shelf label receives a new price, it is automatically cross-checked with the POS register. This ensures that no discrepancies occur at checkout. The digital labels also have ultra-low energy consumption and can remain active for up to 5 years\u2014not to mention the mountain of paper and ink that is no longer needed to display prices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Water-resistant &amp; washable<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can also use high-quality electronic shelf labels (ESL) in humid environments because they are water-resistant (IP67). This also allows you to wash them off if they get dirty. They operate in environments ranging from 0 to 40\u00b0C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Easy to read and dynamic layout<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The e-labels come in various sizes and feature a high-contrast, low-reflection screen. Thanks to e-ink technology, you can even use your scanner to scan the barcodes on the digital label.
