This blog post is a follow-up, in which we show you step by step how you can easily do this if you <a href=\"https:\/\/alistar.net\/en\/crm\/technology\/clickdimensions-marketing-automation\/\">ClickDimensions<\/a> used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Within ClickDimensions, you can retrieve information about \u2018excluded email addresses\u2019 or \u2018<strong>excluded emails<\/strong>\u2018. These are email addresses to which ClickDimensions can no longer send emails.\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There may be several reasons for this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Blocked:<\/strong> The email address has been blocked due to a <em>hard bounce<\/em> or more than one <em>soft bounces<\/em>. It's also possible that the person in question marked your email as spam.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Missing email address:<\/strong> There is no email address listed next to the <em>contact<\/em>, <em>lead<\/em> or <em>account<\/em> record.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Unsubscribed:<\/strong> The person in question has unsubscribed from all your emails or from the \u2018Subscription List\u2019 associated with the relevant marketing list. Within ClickDimensions, you can use \u2018Subscription Lists\u2019 to give your customers or prospects the option to choose which emails they wish to receive. For example, a customer might want to receive the weekly newsletter but would prefer not to receive emails about events.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where can you find the list of excluded email addresses?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1) Go to Microsoft Dynamics 365 =&gt; Navigate to \u2018Marketing\u2019 =&gt; Then click \u2018Email Sends\u2019 in the menu\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/alistar.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Net-IT-CRM-blog_Screenshot-ClickDimensions-uitgesloten-e-mailadressen-01-1.webp\" alt=\"Net IT CRM Blog: ClickDimensions Excluded Email Addresses Screenshot\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2) Change the view to \u2018Sent\u2019 =&gt; Click on the sent email for which you want to view the list of excluded email addresses<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/alistar.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Net-IT-CRM-blog_Screenshot-ClickDimensions-uitgesloten-e-mailadressen-02.webp\" alt=\"Net IT CRM Blog: ClickDimensions Excluded Email Addresses 02 - Screenshot\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3) Next, go back to the menu =&gt; Navigate to \u2018excluded emails\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/alistar.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Net-IT-CRM-blog_Screenshot-ClickDimensions-uitgesloten-e-mailadressen-03.webp\" alt=\"Net IT CRM Blog: ClickDimensions Excluded Email Addresses 03 - Screenshot\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">4) You will now see a list of all excluded email addresses, along with the reason they were excluded (blocked, missing email address, or unsubscribed)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/alistar.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Net-IT-CRM-blog_Screenshot-ClickDimensions-uitgesloten-e-mailadressen-04.webp\" alt=\"Net IT CRM Blog: ClickDimensions Excluded Email Addresses 04 - Screenshot\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Use this list to maintain your marketing list<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After sending an email through ClickDimensions, we recommend that you review this list of excluded email addresses each time to clean up your marketing list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>When an email address is missing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For an excluded email address that is missing an email address, it is, of course, easy to add an email address to the relevant <em>lead<\/em>, <em>contact<\/em> or <em>account<\/em> record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>If your email address is blocked<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For an email address that has been blocked due to one hard bounce or multiple soft bounces, you can first check why the email was not delivered. With ClickDimensions, you can easily find this out by <em>bounce code<\/em> to view an \u2018email event.\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1) Go to the relevant <em>contact<\/em>, <em>lead<\/em> or <em>account<\/em> record =&gt; Navigate to \u2018email events\u2019 in the menu\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/alistar.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Net-IT-CRM-blog_Screenshot-ClickDimensions-e-mail-events-01.webp\" alt=\"Net IT CRM Blog: ClickDimensions Email Events Screenshot\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2) Click on the \u2018email event\u2019 you want to view in more detail<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/alistar.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Net-IT-CRM-blog_Screenshot-ClickDimensions-e-mail-events-02.webp\" alt=\"Net IT CRM Blog: ClickDimensions email events02 screenshot\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3) Next, you'll see the <em>bounce code<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A <strong>hard bounce<\/strong> This is due to an invalid or nonexistent email address. For example, when you view the \u2018email event,\u2019 you will see one of the following bounce codes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/alistar.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Net-IT-CRM-blog_Screenshot-ClickDimensions-uitgesloten-e-mailadressen-hard-bounce.webp\" alt=\"Net IT CRM Blog: ClickDimensions Excluded Email Addresses Hard Bounce Screenshot\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A <strong>soft bounce<\/strong> This is the result of a temporary issue with a valid email address, such as a full inbox, a problem with the recipient's server, or your email being blocked by the recipient's spam filter.
