This feature reduces manual data entry and minimizes errors, making processes run more smoothly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Electronic documents are digital versions of business documents that can be exchanged in accordance with a specific format or standard. For example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>E-invoices: invoices in an electronic format such as UBL, PEPPOL, or EDIFACT.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shipping and transfer documents (available starting in 2026).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bank files: for electronic payments (SEPA, for example).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Business Central, these documents can be automatically generated, validated, and sent. Documents can also be received through the same process and converted into operational documents (such as purchase invoices).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What are the benefits of electronic documents?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Higher productivity: Less time spent on repetitive tasks, more focus on strategic work.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improved data accuracy<strong>:<\/strong>&nbsp;Reduced risk of human error.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enhanced security: Sensitive information remains well protected.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cost and time savings: Optimization of operational processes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>PEPPOL Integration<\/strong><br>Business Central supports the sending and receiving of electronic documents in PEPPOL format via a preconfigured Electronic Document. This allows you to exchange sales invoices, credit memos, and purchase invoices, among other things. This makes it easy to comply with legal requirements and do business with governments and companies throughout Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Starting now, you can even export payment reminders and interest statements as PEPPOL files and automatically embed attachments (such as PDFs) in PEPPOL documents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By using PEPPOL, you\u2019ll benefit from:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Faster Invoice Processing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lower risk of errors thanks to standardized formats<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improved compliance with European regulations&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">PEPPOL requires a service provider (access point) to process electronic documents. By incorporating quality checks into the process of receiving or manufacturing goods, you increase product reliability and give customers confidence in consistent quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Define quality controls<\/strong><br>Set the scope and parameters for quality checks at various levels: individual items, groups, lot numbers, or serial numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Process Integration<\/strong><br>Purchasing Receipts: Verification after posting the receipt, with or without warehouse processing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Production Output<\/strong><br>Manual or automatic inspection (flushing) to verify that products meet specifications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Assembly Output<\/strong><br>Manual or automatic inspection (assembly-to-order).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Triggers and Timing<\/strong><br>Activate checks manually, upon specific events (e.g., recording of receipts), or at scheduled intervals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Parameters and External Analysis<\/strong><br>Measure physical properties such as weight, dimensions, and density. Set up samples for external laboratory analysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Quality Plans and Quarantines<br><\/strong>Define test plans, triggers, and quarantine rules to block non-compliant products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Reporting and Compliance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Quality Certificates and Certificates of Analysis for compliance with standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Overviews of quality status and quality orders to provide insight into batches and customer requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Availability and Scheduling<br><\/strong>General availability (GA) is scheduled for December 2025. Features and timing are subject to change. The feature will be delivered as an extension. That takes time and is frustrating. Less time spent searching means more time for your actual work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the new AI-powered advanced search feature in \u201cTell Me,\u201d that\u2019s a thing of the past. This feature helps you find what you need faster, even if you don\u2019t know the exact term. It also allows you to search in one language and get search results in another language as well. \u00a0For example, if Business Central is set to English, you can search for \u201cinkooporder,\u201d and the smart search feature will understand that it should display \u201cpurchase orders.\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How does it work?<br><\/strong>The new advanced search feature in \u201cTell Me\u201d uses semantic search technology. This means that the search feature doesn\u2019t just look for exact text matches, but also understands the meaning of your search query. As a result, you\u2019ll get a much more relevant list of results, with pages and reports sorted based on their content and attributes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can access this feature via \u201cTell Me\u201d (Alt+Q) or directly from the Role Center or Report Explorer. When you enter a term in the search box and select \u201cTry Advanced<em>\u201d<\/em>, Tell Me automatically opens the \u201cAdvanced\u201d tab<strong>\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0and displays the improved search results.
