\u201cMultilight faced a problem in late 2012 when its website and online store went offline: something had to be done immediately. Multilight wanted to get it right the first time and not cut corners. They opted for a Magento online store that needed to integrate with Exact Globe<\/a>. Multilight requested two quotes for the integration and chose Alistar\u2019s Webshop Connector. \u201dThis connector offers more functionality, and we preferred Alistar\u2019s approach,\u201d said Ruud Marsman, IT manager at Multilight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Online Store Connector<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The development of the online store proceeded in parallel with the implementation of the Webshop Connector. The collaboration between Multilight, the web designer, and Alistar went very smoothly: as Multilight\u2019s Exact partner, Alistar knows exactly how things work. \u201cIt was important to us that everything worked properly.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018We were able to leave the guidance and implementation in Alistar\u2019s capable hands with complete confidence. After an extensive testing period, the Dutch and German online stores are now \u2019live.\u2018 It was great to see that orders started coming in right away during the first few days after going live. We had traffic again right away!\u2019 says Marsman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Time Savings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Orders from the previous online store were received via email. These were then manually entered into Exact, which was time-consuming and prone to errors. It is therefore a definite improvement that orders are now automatically imported as orders in Exact Globe<\/a> end up. After an internal check, the pick list is generated and the process is set in motion. This results in a time savings of about ten minutes per order. During busy periods, this saves Multilight several hours a day!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No more duplicate entries<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Multilight also saves a lot of time on maintaining prices and products. All product management is now handled centrally in Exact Globe<\/a> location. By simply checking a box, new or updated items and prices are immediately uploaded to one or both online stores. Unlike the previous online store, prices are now always up to date. Working with composite items and the integrated payment system also works perfectly with the Webshop Connector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Always the Right Delivery Addresses<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMany of Multilight\u2019s German customers are fairground operators. Because they\u2019re always on the road, their delivery address is never the same. In the past, this often led to problems with phone orders; it was common for the delivery address to be recorded incorrectly due to a poor connection and background noise, with all the resulting complications. Now, the customer is responsible for entering the correct information.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wishes for the Future<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhen asked if there are any future plans, Marsman replies: \u2018We also plan to make historical data available in the online store soon. Customers will then be able to view, for example, their online order history for \u2018non-online store orders\u2019 and invoices. We will also have the experts at Alistar carry out this project.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
