De meeste netwerkbeheerders, verdelen een groot fysiek netwerk onder in kleine deeltjes, een V-LAN genaamd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In die V-LAN worden op een logische manier groepen gemaakt. Zo kunnen verschillende afdelingen hun eigen V-LAN hebben waar hun pc\u2019s, servers, printers enzovoort inzitten. Het grote voordeel van deze virtuele netwerkgroepjes is dat ze onderling gescheiden zijn van elkaar, dus er is geen communicatie tussen de netwerken mogelijk. Op die manier kunnen ook security maatregelen genomen worden per V-LAN. De verschillende groepen worden op een numerieke manier ge\u00efdentificeerd. Elke groep heeft zijn eigen cijfer, wat het beheren een stuk makkelijker maakt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cybersecurity houdt natuurlijk veel meer in dan enkel een V-LAN.
