In recent years, Microsoft has been working hard on its Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) package. The platform still includes your favorite Office applications, but they’re available as a service and on a subscription basis. An all-in-one product bundle with a very wide range of options, catering to everyone from small SMBs to large enterprises.
What's the best fit for my business?
Depending on your company's needs, Microsoft offers three business editions:
- Business Basic – €4.20
Specifically, you can use an email account with the web versions of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams. Limited use of SharePoint Online and Teams is also included. - Business Standard – €10.50
The standard license includes the full Office suite, with five installations per account. The brand-new Bookings app is also included. This allows customers to book an appointment with you online right away. - Business Premium – €16.90
For an additional fee of €6.40, Microsoft provides a substantial number of extra features. For example, the Enterprise Mobility + Security (EMS) platform is being introduced. This allows you to use Azure AD and Microsoft Intune. With the additional Threat Protection Plan, Online Archiving, and Data Loss Prevention, this security and backup license gets a nice boost.
In the Spotlight
Exchange Online is integrated into all three versions of M365 Business. Outlook has long since moved beyond simply managing your emails, calendar, tasks, and contacts; it is now highly flexible and enables your company to set up a hybrid email environment. On-premises Exchange servers work seamlessly with Exchange Online, allowing for a phased email migration.
No more creating endless accounts and logins for new employees. Single sign-on allows every user to authenticate in the same way—one password to rule them all.
Make it easier for customers to reach you, or let them book an appointment directly with Microsoft Bookings. Customers choose from your services, then select a staff member who is already familiar with their case and choose a time slot. Employees can, of course, always specify which days and times they’re available, or appointments can be taken over by colleagues. This way, customers don’t have to call or email.
Collaborating has never been easier than with Microsoft Teams. The MS platform has come a long way and has quickly become the most widely used communication platform! Make calls, hold (video) meetings, chat, and even create groups where your team can share ideas and files privately.
The good news—Microsoft Teams is included with every Office 365 subscription, and you can even try it for free (with limited features).
Get the most out of your business data by undergoing a digital transformation with Microsoft PowerApps. Fill in your ERP system with smaller apps that address specific pain points. Build a Form yourself (or with our help) and connect it to Dynamics 365 or Business Central. Finally, make it available on mobile devices, tablets, or scanners. Or build an app that lets drivers report their locations and delivery times while on the road. It’s all possible with PowerApps.
