Connex has grown rapidly in a short period of time, creating a need for a robust ERP system—an all-in-one system that also offers robust reporting capabilities for tracking products.
Connex chose Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central because Project Manager Rick Stoop already had experience with Business Central, which he believes aligns well with the business processes of a trading organization like Connex.

Choosing Microsoft Partner Alistar
The company chose Alistar to implement Business Central.
“Alistar specializes in a number of niche markets, and we operate in one of those niche markets, which made it easy to establish a connection between the two companies.”
Because the company is growing rapidly, optimizing processes and eliminating manual tasks have become very important. “We’re really happy with our collaboration with Alistar; together, we’re developing optimization features in Business Central so that we can really make the system work for us, rather than us working for the system.”
Phased implementation
To best support Connex’s growth ambitions, it has been agreed to first go live with the processes that are most important at this time. This will be followed by a second phase, during which the focus will be on areas such as CRM and supporting production processes. An ERP implementation always requires time from employees. By dividing the implementation into separate go-lives, time is spent only on modules that will be used in the short term.
