Hire someone yourself or look for a partner?
When I started at De Rooi Pannen School District—quite a few years ago now—we were facing a challenge in the area of digitization. I saw opportunities to optimize a number of business processes and wanted to be relieved of the burden of infrastructure management. At the time, we had a choice: hire someone in-house or look for an external partner. We were too small to hire someone full-time, and it’s difficult to arrange truly thorough, ongoing support with a part-timer. Moreover, it’s questionable whether that person would be able to keep their knowledge up to date on an ongoing basis.

Good recommendations
We already had a partner who provided some services for us in that area, but they stopped. I asked colleagues in the field if they could recommend someone. So I just gave them a call and asked if they could help us out. I spoke with Walther van Gool, and we hit it off right away. We decided to work together, and to this day, they continue to fulfill their responsibilities to our complete satisfaction. The consultants’ level of expertise is excellent, and continuity is guaranteed.
Time savings, up-to-date, and stable
In consultation with us, Qexpertise optimized our financial administration. The purchasing process has been digitized, with expense invoices automatically posted thanks to ScanSys software. This allows budget managers to approve invoices through a workflow, saving us a great deal of time. In addition, Qexpertise has developed various reports for us tailored to the different departments and the executive board. Thanks to the use of Sumatra’s BI software, the reports are dynamic and always up to date. To ensure that everything runs smoothly and our environment remains stable, we have also outsourced the management of our cloud infrastructure to them. They handle this in collaboration with Parentix, a subsidiary of Exact Software.
A great, knowledgeable group of people
What I like is that they’re always thinking along with us. When we have a problem, we don’t have to reinvent the wheel. We discuss it, and often they already have an idea for a good solution right away. Even if something doesn’t exist yet, they can solve it with a custom solution. We’d never be able to achieve that level of broad expertise if we hired someone ourselves. And their lines of communication with Exact are very direct, which is, of course, also very nice. They’re just a great, knowledgeable group of people.
