How does the BarTender Connector work?
Sometimes you want to automatically print barcodes as soon as a specific event occurs in Exact. Think of completing an order or receiving new inventory. This is where the power of the BarTender Connector really comes in handy.
The BarTender Connector responds to changes you make in Exact. When such an ‘event’ occurs, a real-time process is triggered that prints a barcode label. All relevant parameters, such as item code, serial number, and printer settings, can be easily passed on to the printing process. This means you can always produce accurate and up-to-date barcode labels without manual intervention.

Does Alistar also install Exact Globe, Microsoft SQL Server, or the .NET Framework as part of this solution?
No. The quote assumes that these components are already operational. The installation and configuration of these systems are outside the scope of the Connector.
Do you need Microsoft SQL Server to use the BarTender Connector?
Yes. A supported version of Microsoft SQL Server is one of the system requirements for using the Connector.
Do you have to purchase label printers through Alistar to use the Connector?
No. The supply of label printers is not part of the solution. However, a Zebra label printer is used as the baseline, and the specific printer to be used is determined on a case-by-case basis.
