Adjust sales prices by a specific factor using the Batch Sales Price Proposal

Alistar logo

With Dynamics NAV Is it possible to adjust sales prices in Batch? This means that sales prices for items can be adjusted in bulk, without having to manually adjust each price.

The Batch Sales Price Proposal is used for this purpose.

Step 1:

To create sales prices for a new period, the old sales prices must be assigned an end date.

Below Item 70061 has a selling price of €1,000.00, with a start date of 01/01/12 has.

Setting a new price without specifying an end date for the old price would have little effect. This is because Dynamics NAV will always select the best price.

Step 2:

To set the end date, we start with the Batch Sales Price Proposal.

The Suggested Selling Price can be found at Departments => Sales & Marketing => Inventory & Prices => Suggested Selling Price.

You'll see the following screen:

This page displays an overview of the suggested price that Dynamics NAV has adjusted based on the configured factor.

Step 3:

To do this, use the “Preparing Sales Price Proposals” at the top of the page.

Step 4:

On the next screen, enter the filter values:

Type of sale: Depending on the sales type configured for the item (example: All customers).

Start date: Start date of the sale on the item's selling price.

End Date: The desired end date (1 day before the new price takes effect).

Revaluation factor: 1

Creating new prices: Check off.

Using the “Set new prices”If you check the box next to “,” the existing rule will be modified, and no new rule will be created.

Step 5:

Once the filters are set, press OK and you'll get the following result:

The current active price is retrieved, and the field End Date is filled in. Due to the revaluation factor If you set it to 1, the price will not change.

Step 6:

After verification, the prices can be applied to the item. To do this, click the “Implement a price change”Press:

The following screen appears. Here, we can filter the list to show only the items that need to be updated.

All rules must be applied, so no filters will be set. Click on OK.

Step 7:

In response to the subsequent question about maintaining prices, you may YES answers. The suggested prices will then be deleted.

Step 8:

When checking the selling price for our item, the field “End Date” filled in.

Step 9:

For the setting new prices Follow the same route.

Via Departments => Sales & Marketing => Inventory & Prices => Suggested Selling Price return to the Suggested Selling Price.

You'll see the following screen:

Step 10:

You select ”” again”Preparing Sales Price Proposals”:

Step 11:

On the “Preparing Sales Price Proposals”Enter the following values:

Type of Sale: All customers

Start Date: 01/01/13

Revaluation Factor: 1,05

Rounding Method: 2 decimal places

Set new prices: Check the box

In this case, the decision is made to adjust the price by 5%.

The new price will be created, after which you can apply it.

Step 12:

By clicking the “Implement a price change”You'll see the following screen:"

The filtering is not set up in such a way that all prices are applied.

Step 13:

When you click on OK When you press [...], you will see the following message. Here, you will be prompted once again to OK printed.

When the selling price of the item is checked, a line has been added showing the new price. The old price has been increased by 5%.
