We haven't been sitting idle at Alistar lately; we've used the summer to fine-tune our development platform. With the modules built on top of Exact, you can access web forms from Exact Synergy, Exact Globe and Exact Online and display them in any CMS system.
This new solution can be used in many different areas. For example, if you have an online store, you can use the online store connector to communicate with your customers. With Portal Builder, you can create custom forms that are fully consistent with the branding of your website, online store, or intranet environment. The great thing about Portal Builder is that it is website-independent, which means it also supports your CMS platform.
Within your online store, customers can fill out web forms in their account section—for example, for returns or complaints. After filling out the web form, a workflow is initiated within Exact Synergy for further follow-up. The great thing about this solution is that the customer can continue to track the follow-up, since the entire correspondence and any attached files or screenshots are visible. As soon as an employee writes a response, it is immediately visible to the customer. If a follow-up question is asked, the customer receives an email with a link to the form’s current status.

External process
An example of such an external process is when a customer requests a quote through your website or online store. The customer can configure the desired items themselves and submit them as a quote request.
Once the quote has been prepared, the customer will receive an email with a link to the quote. The customer can then view it and, if desired, place an order right away.
Internal Process
On the other hand, when you receive a quote request, the office staff prepares a quote based on the sizes and materials specified by the customer. Once this is done, the quote is reviewed by the sales team. After approval, the quote is emailed and made available in the customer’s web environment. Because Portal Builder fully integrates with your website, your customer will feel as though they’re still on the familiar website, with the same user interface. The same applies to your employees; because they are working in the familiar Exact Synergy—In this environment, internal processes run smoothly.
Portal Builder is available for Exact Synergy, Exact Globe and Exact Online and is therefore highly versatile. We expect to use this application frequently with business owners who use (or will start using) Exact.
