During his time at Alistar, Jules has further developed both his technical and soft skills. “I’ve learned to communicate effectively with clients, navigate project dynamics, and understand the importance of clear expectations,” he says. Jules’ experience spans Teams, SharePoint, infrastructure, and security. According to the IT consultant, his strength lies primarily in his broad knowledge and curiosity. “I’m a quick learner and adapt easily to new situations.”
Building IT Through Connection
Within the IT Growth Program Jules followed the Deep Dive Phase toward the cloud, which aligned well with his interests. “How everything is connected, how systems communicate with each other, and how you have to figure things out to make the whole thing work—I found that incredibly interesting. The creative aspect of being able to build something also really appealed to me,” Jules says.
After gaining this expertise, he worked at Rabobank, among other places, where he was involved in migration projects such as Stream within SharePoint. He also works for Vivent, where he specializes in security and infrastructure. There, he improves the Microsoft and Azure environments, including security measures such as geoblocking.
I've learned a lot at Rabobank and Vivent. In addition to the necessary technical aspects, I'm good at understanding the needs of different users.
In addition, Jules gained experience working on projects such as service desk support at Alistar Cloud Services. He was also involved in a security assessment for the municipality of Terneuzen, where he played a key role as a mystery guest. “It was a unique opportunity to carry out social engineering. This provides a good picture of organizations” vulnerabilities.”
Learn and Make an Impact
Jules appreciates the masterclasses offered as part of Alistar’s NEXT program. He is very interested in delving deeper into topics such as security, networking, and AI. Looking ahead, Jules hopes to advance toward a career in solution architecture.
In doing so, Jules wants to maintain his holistic view of IT systems. He also hopes to continue contributing to practical and secure IT solutions for clients in the future.
After four rewarding years, Jules feels right at home at Alistar. He wholeheartedly recommends that up-and-coming IT talent come by to get to know the company.
