Advanced Power BI Training at Alistar

Why a BI plan?

A well-thought-out BI strategy and plan, a detailed roadmap, and relevant training are essential to becoming a data-driven organization. Our specialists are happy to help you develop a solid BI plan.

To develop a company-wide BI strategy, we conduct a BI assessment in which we analyze the BI organizational structure, the BI processes, and the current BI architecture and tools (or the lack thereof). Sometimes, a pragmatic BI assessment is sufficient to develop a new BI architecture or a data warehouse.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Business Intelligence (BI)?

Business Intelligence (BI) is the process of collecting, analyzing, and visualizing data from various sources. The goal is to gain better insights into performance, customers, and processes, so that organizations can make decisions faster and more effectively.

The choice depends on data sources, scale, desired features, and budget. Power BI is often the first choice due to its integration with Microsoft 365, but in some industries or existing environments, SAP or another platform may be more appropriate.

Popular BI tools include Microsoft Power BI, SAP BusinessObjects, Looker Studio, and Tableau. Within the Microsoft ecosystem, Power BI is the standard thanks to its user-friendliness, integration capabilities, and value for money.

BI helps organizations make decisions faster, automate reporting, gain deeper market and customer insights, and streamline processes. This leads to improved performance and a stronger competitive advantage.

Business Intelligence focuses primarily on reporting, dashboards, and analyzing historical data. Business Analytics goes a step further and uses statistics and AI to predict trends and perform more in-depth analyses.
