LBC Tank Terminals Optimizes Customer Relationships with Automated Surveys

From customer feedback to customized solutions, thanks to fast and automated surveys—that’s what LBC Tank Terminals is focusing on today. Recently, all customer data, input from sales representatives, and even feedback from customers themselves have been centrally stored via Microsoft Dynamics 365. Communication between customers and sales representatives is more streamlined, resulting in faster, more efficient, and automated processes.

LBC Tank Terminals Optimizes Customer Relationships with Automated Surveys

LBC Tank Terminals, a company with about 500 employees across the U.S. and Europe, specializes in the storage of chemicals and so-called ‘intermediate chemicals’ (chemical intermediates). This storage is often invisible to the outside world, but it is essential to the supply chain of many manufacturing companies. The total storage capacity worldwide is 3 million m³. Precisely because LBC Tank Terminals often handles sensitive products, safety, reliability, and innovation are central to the company’s vision.

Staying on Top of Things with Microsoft Dynamics 365

The company is known for maintaining a very close relationship with its customers. “We want to meet our customers” specific needs as much as possible. After all, more efficient product storage has a direct impact on their own supply chain and, therefore, on their overall costs,” says William Vermeulen, Business Development at LBC Tank Terminals.

To stay even more in tune with its customers, LBC Tank Terminals has centralized all customer data via Microsoft Dynamics 365 with the help of our partner Alistar. Koen Van Aelst, project manager at LBC: “In the first phase, we implemented all the basic data: customer information, details about customer contacts, and existing visit reports from our sales representatives. Building on that foundation, we continued our work to also implement a ”customer voice’ feature. With this type of survey, our customers can provide feedback on our operations even more directly and quickly.”

“The fact that Microsoft Dynamics 365 runs entirely in the cloud aligns with our vision for digitization, growth, and innovation. Not only have our processes been optimized, but our reporting has also taken a huge leap forward,” says Koen Van Aelst, IT Project Manager at LBC.

We conducted a fully digital customer satisfaction survey and surveyed all customers at the same time. This was a tremendous improvement in terms of process optimization, automation, and reporting.
