V.A.C. Machines At that time, there were two physical machines, each running about seven physical servers. “But those were completely at the end of their life cycle,” Anthony explains. “It was high time to replace them. So we asked Alistar to replace them with a SAN (Storage Area Network) connected to two physical servers, as well as a recovery environment.”
Safe, reliable, and forward-looking
Alistar set up that recovery environment at the very back of the company's workshop, completely separate from the other servers. This recovery environment is fully redundant, which means that everything is copied exactly as it is. “Suppose a fire were to break out somewhere and you didn’t have a recovery environment”, Anthony explains. “Then you’ll lose everything. ”That's why we installed an additional server at the back of the facility as a backup." No matter what happens, V.A.C. Machines can now be sure that its data will remain secure. A safe and reliable solution, which, according to Anthony, is also forward-looking.
