What does the VLAIO grant entail?
The Flemish government wants to help companies strengthen their digital resilience. That is why VLAIO is providing a grant for cybersecurity improvement programs. This means you'll get a large portion of your investment back.

*Non-SMEs that fall under NIS2 are eligible only if they have not yet established a cybersecurity policy and do not yet have a cybersecurity roadmap.

This allows you to act on new insights and address additional areas for improvement. Our expansion packages let you delve deeper into specific topics or implement additional measures. These expansions are only available in combination with a Medium– or Plus Package.
How does an upgrade or expansion work?
- Flexibility Guaranteed: Even if this was not provided for in the original VLAIO application, an SME may still apply for an expansion package during or immediately after the implementation of a Medium or Plus package.
- Budget Limit: The total cost of the Medium-of or Plus package + expansion package(s) must be less than €60,000 (excl. VAT) remain.
- Timing: An expansion or upgrade must be completed by 6 months after completion from the initial Medium or Plus package can be requested.
