Run and distribute Dynamics NAV reports automatically with ExSION 7.0

Many professionals who work with Microsoft Dynamics NAV Use Excel to better display recurring reports and ad hoc overviews. ExSION Reporting eliminates the need to “cut and paste” between NAV and Excel. With the ExSION 7 task scheduler, you no longer even need to manually refresh reports or distribute them to colleagues. You can fully automate this process with just a few clicks. Follow the steps below!

Step 1

The task scheduler from ExSION 7.0 It is easy to use and can be found in the ExSION menu.

Step 2

As soon as you select this Task Scheduler, the following screen will appear.

Select New to add a new task to the task scheduler.

Step 3

The following screen appears:

Follow these steps:

  1. Report.
  2. Save As. Where would you like to save the report (for example, a network location)?
  3. Paths appear automatically
  4. Enter the parameters. The relevant parameters are used to refresh the report. You can enter them one by one with their corresponding values; you'll see them appear at the bottom of the screen.

Step 4

On the next screen, enter the email addresses and the subject line, just as you would when composing an email.

Step 5

On the last two screens, you can set when the task should be run (daily, weekly, or monthly) and at what time. Then click OK and then on Start. The Task Scheduler is now ready.

Updating and emailing your ExSION report is now handled for you!
