Microsoft has developed an update to simplify partner management in Business Central. Find out below what the new update entails and how it can benefit your business!
A quick refresher: An environment in Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a space for storing your organization’s business data and apps. It also serves as a container to separate apps that have different roles, security requirements, or target audiences. So it’s important for your IT manager to maintain tight control and be able to grant the right access to the right people, both internal and external partners.

Managing partners can be quite complicated if you have multiple environments. To simplify this process, Microsoft is launching an update that gives you more control over partner management in Business Central. In other words, it will be easier to control the access partners have to specific environments.
Specifically: The Business Central Admin Center is being expanded with new settings. These settings allow administrators to determine which environments are accessible to partners and which are not.
In short, the Business Central update gives you more control and flexibility when managing partners across different environments. If you use multiple environments, this update is obviously good news, because now you can keep track of who does and does not have access to specific environments.
