At Alistar We use Power BI with Dynamics 365 including, among others, the sales follow-up and creating, visualizing, and sharing the reports listed below:
- Revenue reports (year-to-date vs. previous year-to-date): by customer, region, sales representative, sales team, product, product group, …
- sales activity Reports: Which types of customers are visited frequently? What is the breakdown by type of sales visit? Are our salespeople focusing on the right customers?
- cross-selling and upselling reports.
For one of our international clients, we went a step further and connected Power BI not only to data from Microsoft Dynamics 365, but also to their existing multidimensional data structures (i.e., cubes). This allows this customer to also access its existing on-premises analytical data from Microsoft Power BI.
