Exact Globe+ and Exact Globe Next
Microsoft has announced that support for Basic Authentication on SMTP within Office 365 will end in September 2025. This applies to sending emails (SMTP). Support for incoming email had already ended in 2023.
Within applications such as Exact Globe SMTP with Basic Authentication is often used.
In the application, go to System > General > User Settings > the ‘Output’ tab > the ‘Email’ section. If the SMTP option is selected here, the discontinuation of Basic Authentication will affect your setup. In that case, you’ll need to switch to a different sending method, such as Microsoft Outlook or Exchange Online.
