Is Excel crashing when you use the Excel Add-in? This is caused by a recent Office update (version 2109 (16.0.14430.20234, to be exact)) and can be resolved by replacing a specific file called VBE7.DLL. In this FAQ, we’ll walk you through the steps to fix this.
Step 1: Download the new file
Download the new VBE7.DLL here.
Step 2: Replace the file in the folder
Place the downloaded file in the following folder, and be sure to save the old file:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\root\vfs\ProgramFilesCommonX86\Microsoft Shared\VBA\VBA7.1
Step 3: Restart your computer
Once your computer has restarted, everything should be working properly again.
