The Partnership with Exact and Alistar
Arcobel has relied on Exact’s software since 2006. “We started out back then with Exact Globe and Exact Synergy,” says Douwe. “Our motto is: ‘If it’s not in Synergy, then the information doesn’t really exist for the organization.’ In other words: everything hinges on Synergy; it’s the core of our business, along with Exact Globe ”in terms of the financial picture." According to Douwe, the ecosystem from the early days bears no resemblance to the digital environment that exists today.
“Since then, we’ve implemented a tremendous number of automation initiatives. For example, in addition to Exact’s software, we also use other software, such as Orbis. Around 2020, Arcobel came up with the idea of shifting more of its operations to the cloud. “With the systems we were running at the time, Exact Globe and Exact Synergy, ”, it turned out that wasn’t so easy,“ Douwe explains. “Alistar, on the other hand, did have a solution. ”All you need is a computer with a web browser. It works great, and for us, it came just in time. Because right before the pandemic began, our entire company was already in the cloud, and we were able to keep the business running seamlessly while working from home."
