In an upcoming update to Business Central Sustainability is at the heart of it all. The new feature focuses on collecting and reporting on sustainability activities, ensuring that your company complies with the European Union’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and other ESG standards.
The European Union’s CSRD requires companies to document their sustainability-related activities in a report. The CSRD applies to approximately 50,000 companies in the EU, which is four times as many as those covered by the Non-Financial Reporting Directive (NFRD), which was replaced by the CSRD.
Business Central tracks data in the new Sustainability Journals, based on the Chart of Sustainability Accounts. Various emission groups, subgroups, and formulas make tracking emissions very easy. It supports not only the carbon footprint but also other emissions. Below is an example of the Chart and what you can track in a Sustainability Journal.
