NIS2 Objective: Managing Security Risks

Managing security risk means taking steps to protect yourself and your organization from potential threats, such as hackers, viruses, malware, or data breaches.

Governance

Governance is all about establishing and adhering to responsibilities and rules for cybersecurity within your organization. It involves decision-making, control mechanisms, and informing all stakeholders about expectations and objectives. Who decides what, who monitors what, and how do you ensure that everyone is aware of the expectations and objectives?

Risk Management

Risk Management focuses on identifying and analyzing potential cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities, and on taking steps to mitigate or prevent them. You must also consider the impact and likelihood of a cyberattack and have a plan in place to deal with it.

Asset Management

Asset Management involves managing and protecting digital assets such as computers, networks, software, data, and information. It is crucial to understand what you have, where it is, who has access to it, and how to keep it up-to-date and secure.

Supply Chain

Supply Chain addresses the cybersecurity of your business partners, suppliers, and customers. You need to know how they handle cybersecurity, what risks they pose, and how to establish agreements to help and support one another.

Did you know that, as a business leader, you could be personally liable if something goes wrong with your cybersecurity?
